|Virtual Engagement Opportunities|
If your cosmetic surgery practice is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, consider taking this opportunity to share your expertise, improve your CV, or learn something new. Here are several ways you can engage with AACS and your colleagues virtually.
Build Your Reputation
Submit an article for publication in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery (AJCS). Articles featured in the quarterly AJCS are peer reviewed and enjoy high visibility amongst our unique audience. Submission guidelines and suggested article topics (such as book reviews, case reports, original scientific articles or meeting abstracts) can be found on our official Journal website.
Reconnect With a Colleague
Use the AACS Member directory to search for a member by name, location or specialty. With AACS’s multidisciplinary membership, this can be a great tool for sharing ideas, learning new techniques, or just catching up with a former colleague or mentor.
Lead a Virtual Event
The new AACS Connect program offers members a virtual open forum with dedicated time to connect and share challenges and solutions in small groups. These complimentary events are added weekly and member experts are needed to moderate discussions on various topics.
Learn From Home
AACS offers a growing library of live online and archived virtual education opportunities. Learn how to improve your practice from the comfort of your home.
Recommend a New Course
AACS is always looking to identify and create new educational opportunities that are aligned with the practice needs of our members. Send us your ideas for potential in-person or virtual courses or suggest emerging topics the AACS should be aware of.
Share Your Case Photos
AACS members and the public can gain a lot from your before and after photos of successful procedures. You get the credit. Send us your photos and AACS will evaluate and post samples to our website as well as include with our updated guidelines.
Submit a Guideline
AACS is updating its resource pool of cosmetic procedure guidelines and seeking fellow-level members to help set the standards others will look to. Approved guidelines and their authors will be featured on the AACS website and shared with members. Contact AACS to find out which procedure guides are scheduled for revision and the format needed for submission.
Tell Your Story
The AACS community would love to hear about your most challenging case, if you’ve recently been mentioned in the news, or an example of how you’ve given back to your community. Approved member stories will be shared on AACS social media channels or in our new quarterly newsletter, The Consult.
