Description of Program: We are pleased to offer two annual positions that are dually accredited in Facial Cosmetic Surgery and General Cosmetic Surgery.  Areas of particular emphasis include contemporary surgery of the aging face, rhinoplasty, breast, body contouring, and fat grafting.  Dr. Sobel has been training fellows for 10 years and is an active member of the AACS through its educational programs and has served as president of both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

The fellowship is extremely hands on and fellows are encouraged to treat the practice as if it were their own. Fellows are expected to actively participate in surgery as their level of accomplishment allows and will perform surgery under direct supervision and guidance. Further, fellows are required to actively participate in consultations, preoperative and postoperative patient care. Fellows case load is 600 to 900 major cosmetic procedures.

Training faculty includes:
3 general cosmetic/facial plastic surgeons
1 general cosmetic surgeons
1 general cosmetic/bariatric surgeon
1 general cosmetic/gynecologic surgeon
3 general plastic surgeons
2 facial plastic surgeons
1 oral maxillofacial/cosmetic surgeon
1 oculoplastic surgeon

Other sub-specialty experience may be accommodated as well. On-site reading library includes more than 75 texts as well as journals and online journal access. Most surgeries are performed in our two-operatory on-site suite while few may be performed at a nearby hospital.

Pre-interviews are required via phone upon receipt of application with formal onsite interview on a rolling basis.
