The CSF was formed in 2000 and serves as the research and education arm of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Foundation Mission

Research Grants

All research grant applications are rated and selected by the CSF Board of Directors. Grant recipients will be recognized with certificates at the AACS Annual Business Meeting.

Dr. Richard Webster’s Legacy

Richard Webster, MD referred to as “the father of cosmetic surgery”, was instrumental in the formation of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). As the first AACS President, 1985-1987, his organizational practices reflected his vision of cosmetic surgeons from multiple surgical specialties teaching and learning from one other.
