Events & Education
Cosmetic Surgery Education

The Academy's variety of educational programs for cosmetic surgery professionals are designed to improve skills, advance passions, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas.

Each year, the Academy presents in-depth instructional programs that address the current issues, concerns and educational needs of cosmetic surgeons, thereby enabling practitioners to continue providing the highest level of quality medical and dental care.

Leading specialists in various fields combine forces with regulatory and legislative bodies to present the most current information on technological and socioeconomic issues. Physicians attending these programs may also earn continuing medical education credits.

The AACS Annual Scientific Meeting

Held each winter, the Annual Scientific Meeting focuses on multidisciplinary issues of interest to the membership and field of cosmetic surgery. Featured presentation address what is current and why, as well as controversies and advances in the specialty of cosmetic surgery. Specialists from around the world gather for this highly regarded annual event. It also serves as the Academy's annual business meeting with the installation of new officers and trustees.

World Congress on Liposuction

Held bi-annually, the Academy explores the treatment options, latest technologies, and master-practitioner skills for liposuction. Attendees enjoy over 2.5 days of education and social events, where they learn advanced liposuction techniques, complications management, fat grafting and PRP use, and more.

Recognizing a need for in-depth education on specific topics, AACS holds Symposia to explore the latest research, techniques and technologies on those topics.

In-Person Courses & Workshops

Our limited-capacity, in-person courses and training workshops offer cosmetic surgeons a chance to get in-depth instruction on procedures and techniques, often with hands-on training time.
