2016 Annual Scientific Meeting - Preparing for the Next Level

The Annual Scientific Meeting Planning Committee and AACS staff are working tirelessly to ensure a successful annual conference for attendees from every corner of the industry. I can't stress enough how valuable this meeting is for both your personal career and the field as a whole. If you haven't already, I strongly encourage you to complete your conference registration, hotel reservation, and travel plans as soon as you can. I'm eager to share with you the conference resources that are already available to you as the meeting nears.

As an AACS member, you have the distinct opportunity to plan out your meeting experience today. If you haven't already, please take some time to look through the rather impressive preliminary program that will take you through the meeting's theme, "Where Science Meets Success." The program is now available to you in a PDF, printable format, giving you access to session titles and presenter names, pre-conference cadaver workshop faculty, general session featured speakers, and much more. The conference offers you up to 17 credits of CME, while the pre-conference workshops will offer an additional 8 credits. Consider registering for both to get the most out of your time in Florida. Feel free to print your own copy of the preliminary program today, but be sure to check back periodically as the meeting nears for potential program updates.

Similarly, a quick download of "AACS2016" onto your smart phone or tablet will give you unique insight into the meeting. Use the app to build your own schedule and start thinking now about what sessions you'll want to attend, access speaker and location information, post updates, interact with other app users, and more, all in the palm of your hand. Your activity on the app will earn you points, badges, and even prizes; check out the leaderboard to see how your activity compares to that of your fellow attendees.

I can't tell you enough how thrilled I am to have the opportunity to further my knowledge of our beloved field of cosmetic surgery right alongside you. Again, register soon if you haven't already done so; 2016 will be here before you know it. In fact, be on the lookout for a special, short-term discount for office staff beginning next week.

I look forward to bringing you more meeting and Academy updates next month.
