September 2019 President's Letter
Wednesday, September 25, 2019
Dear friends and colleagues,
The World Congress on Liposuction earlier this month was a success, with over 150 professionals in attendance for two days of focused education on the latest trends, technology, and techniques in the fast-growing field of liposuction. Visit the AACS Facebook page to see photos of the event.
With that meeting now behind us, we can look toward what promises to be a memorable 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting, February 27-29 in Las Vegas. The meeting's theme, 35 Years Strong: Past / Present / Future, marks the 35th anniversary of the founding of AACS. This year, we'll recognize the successes in AACS's past, especially our dedication to collaboration among diverse specialists, promoting patient safety, and teaching the latest techniques. We'll also create a vision of AACS's future where we remain the leading organization in cosmetic surgery. Registration for the meeting is now open. If you haven't signed up yet, do so today to get the lowest price.
Speaking of the future of AACS, I would like to warmly welcome our new Executive Director, Colleen Nolan. She comes to us with more than 25 years of experience in association leadership, branding, public relations, and alliance building. To continue to advocate for and advance the field of cosmetic surgery, Colleen will work closely with the Board of Trustees and AACS members to achieve our strategic goals and develop new initiatives to grow AACS and its influence.
Colleen will be based in Chicago at AACS Headquarters. You can reach her by phone at 312.985.0003 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am also available for any questions you may have at this time.
