Thursday, June 13, 2019
AACS has announced a new collaboration with the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (WAOCS) to offer discounts on membership and education to members of both groups. "We are excited to offer our members enhanced networking and educational opportunities on an international level. Our collaboration with WAOCS ensures cosmetic surgeons and those willing to learn continue to be the most highly trained experts in every cosmetic procedure, and also ensures our utmost goal of improving outcomes in patient safety," said AACS President, Chris Lowery, DO.
The collaboration between AACS and WAOCS will allow members from each organization to access discounted membership and educational opportunities offered by the other organization. This year, AACS members will receive:
- A 50% discount on their first-year membership fees when they join WAOCS as new Physician members.
- A special discount of $200 on registration fees for the WAOCS Annual Scientific Meeting, September 12-14, 2019 in London.

"We're excited to announce this collaboration with AACS. Increased cooperation among cosmetic surgery societies will establish a much larger global footprint for our specialty. We are willing to teach all doctors who are willing to learn," said E. Antonio Mangubat, MD, President of the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
This partnership with WAOCS is a great opportunity for AACS members to share their expertise and grow their participation in a global conversation about cosmetic surgery.
