July President's Letter

The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery is only as strong as its members. Our Academy stands out among the rest because of educated, future-focused leaders like you, who represent the best in cosmetic surgery. It is my sincere hope that, year after year, we not only sustain our status but grow to represent more cosmetic surgeons, providing greater perspective and more diverse educational opportunities. In the coming weeks I encourage you to renew your annual AACS membership to continue being a part of our cosmetic surgery community.
Looking ahead, this winter you can connect with surgeons from a variety of sub-specialties at our 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting, January 31-February 2, in Orlando. As an AACS member, save on registration with our early-bird discounted rates through September 30 (registration is open!). This year we are filling the 2019 program schedule with expert-led master class sessions, feature keynote presentations, and a new half day pre-conference Resident Forum session.
Another way you can connect with cosmetic surgeons from different sub specialties is through the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. AJCS is a premiere medical journal that features state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery procedures, topics, and breakthroughs, written by experts in their respective fields. Gain thorough peer review of your research by submitting a manuscript. Having your research published in AJCS ensures your findings receive high visibility and reaches a wide multidisciplinary audience.
Whatever pathways you choose, AACS is dedicated to bringing our members together. We each have unique experiences, perspectives, and sets of expertise to share. As our Academy grows and adapts, we continue to evolve from within as we collaborate and learn from each member’s unique strengths and skillsets.
