Summer is an active time of year for our Academy, with preparations underway for our upcoming courses, workshops, 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting, WebClinics, and much more. AACS thrives because of the diligence and dedication of our members. I'd like to personally thank AACS Executive Director Daniel Garrett, Anthony Geroulis, MD, Rania Agha, MD, and Robert Jackson, MD, for attending the American Medical Association's 2018 House of Delegates Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. As cosmetic surgery leaders, we are committed to ensuring our Academy is involved and well-represented in the medical community.
AACS is also committed to providing the resources you need to develop your career and practice. I am thrilled to share with you that our new AACS Digital Library will launch this month. This library will allow members to purchase an unlimited subscription to CME and non-CME recorded WebClinics and watch them on your own time. Topics include brow lifts, skin resurfacing techniques, hormone replacement therapy, and more.
Another way you can attain CME is by attending our 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting, January 31 – February 2 in Orlando, Florida. New this year, we will offer a Residency Forum, a free pre-conference session on Wednesday, January 30, designed for residents and attendees who have gone through, or wish to go through, a fellowship program. This interactive forum will provide additional networking and mentoring opportunities and will feature presentations from residents and Fellowship Program Director Victoria Karlinsky, MD. Attendees will learn the steps to take before and after an AACS-Certified Fellowship Program.
I wish you all a great summer filled with personal and professional success.
Suzan Obagi, MD
