Clinical Fellowship Training Program

One year with us will begin the experience of a lifetime.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery provides an in-depth Fellowship Program to advance a physician's education in cosmetic surgery and enhance clinical skills. Post-residency fellowships around the country provide comprehensive training with the brightest minds in cosmetic surgery.

Comprehensive training – Each AACS Fellowship Program participant performs approximately 1,000 cases in one year.

Dedicated mentorship – The AACS Fellowship Program was created by leaders in cosmetic surgery who possess a wealth of experience and a desire to teach.

Unmatched educational experience – Because the AACS Fellowship Program is capped at a limited number of slots across the country, it provides rare access to patients and expertise. No other fellowship program can offer that caliber of training and instruction.

Eligible candidates must complete a formal residency in General Surgery, Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery (MD/DDS), Gynecologic Surgery, Ophthalmology Surgery or equivalent ACGME-recognized residency training program by the fellowship start date.

“My fellowship has been very hands-on. That’s what makes it such a unique and challenging training opportunity… I believe that cosmetic surgery helps enhance a person’s self- confidence and their sense of well-being. I feel grateful to play a part in that transformation.”

-Hardeep Dhaliwal, DMD, MD

“The AACS Fellowship Program is outstanding. It’s given me access to collegial surgeons who sincerely want to pass along knowledge in a great setting with fantastic cooperation. The training is a very ‘real world’ experience. On top of the many cases and variety of procedures presented, I’ve also gotten insights into running a practice and an abundance of sincere mentorship. I have had the opportunity to publish in international peer reviewed journals, present at industry conferences, host and create marketing events and interact in a very real way with patients in a business setting. This is by far the most practical and pleasurable medical learning experience I have had. Once I leave the fellowship, I’ll be completely equipped to run my practice and have the support of the Academy and my peers as a backstop.”

-Julianne M. Santarosa, MD
