AACS is currently accepting applications for its June 2010 Application Review. All applications must be completed and required documents submitted by May 10, 2010.

AACS

The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery extends membership to physicians with training in a variety of disciplines. Whether you are just beginning your career in the field or are practicing at an advanced level, our membership categories are designed to welcome physicians from a variety of backgrounds and skill level. Each level of membership has different application requirements.

AACS Allied Health

The AACS also extends membership to those non-surgical professionals working in a cosmetic surgery practice. The Allied Health membership category is designed to welcome those in either patient care or in an administrative role including: nurse practitioners, medical/physician assistants, estheticians, medical spa staff or other administrative staff.

ASLS

The American Society of Liposuction Surgery (ASLS) is a sub-specialty organization of the AACS that is dedicated to fostering the further development of liposuction. ASLS is invested in promoting the highest quality liposuction practice and standards of patient care worldwide through educational events, and by acting as an active voice on liposuction issues.

ASLS Member

Membership is open to any AACS member who is actively engaged on a regular basis in the performance of liposuction surgery and who practicing in an ABMS-approved surgical sub-specialty, including Dermatology, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

ASLS Affiliate

Affiliate membership may be granted to any AACS Affiliate member who is actively engaged on a regular basis in the performance of liposuction surgery, but whose original specialty falls outside the approved ABMS specialties listed above. Affiliate members' specialties may include Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, etc.

*Please note: All applicants for the ASLS must be a current AACS member. If you are not an AACS member, you must apply to both organizations to be considered for membership. All applicants must show proof of participation in an ACCME-approved liposuction course, which is sanctioned by the ASLS or a similar organization and have a minimum of 14 CME hours.

ASHRS

The American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ASHRS) is a sub-specialty organization within the AACS that is dedicated to fostering the growth and quality of hair restoration surgery worldwide.

Membership is open to all physicians, assistants and other professionals involved or interested in hair restoration surgery.

ASCLS Membership

The American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery (ASCLS) is dedicated solely to the field of cosmetic laser surgery. ASCSLS' mission is to provide the highest quality of education on all facets of cosmetic laser surgery to physicians, scientists, and trained staff from around the world; to develop programs that promote multi-disciplinary education and to provide research grants to qualified investigators in cosmetic laser surgery.

Membership is open to physicians, scientists, residents/fellows, and staff with training in a variety of disciplines including cosmetic surgery, general medicine, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dermatology, general surgery, oral/maxillofacial surgery, or plastic/reconstructive surgery.
