  Keynote Speaker: Patrick Trevidic, MD

The tear trough correction is one of the first demands of patients during the aging process of the face. The main factor of tear trough is the absence of superficial fat. Dr. Trevidic will discuss his findings that treatment needs to be both deep and superficial regardless of the techniques selected.

  Objectives:

  • Accurately characterize signs of facial aging due to volume loss or mimetic muscle activity, and select the appropriate dermal filler or neurotoxin to optimize results in an office-based setting
  • Appropriately choose the laser modality for the respective skin condition, while minimizing adverse events, in the office-setting
  • Identify and respond to an array of complications from dermal fillers, neurotoxins and laser and devices, in the office-setting

  • Define breast augmentation complications and describe a systematic way to restore the symmetry to the breasts with surgical procedures consisting of capsulectomy and/or capsulotomy as well as grafting techniques in selected cases

S1-04 Innovations in Hair Restoration Surgery

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, attendees should:
(1) Be able to accurately diagnose Male and Female Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) and formulate a differential diagnosis
(2) Be able to define potential treatment strategies for treating AGA in males and females including medical and/or surgical therapies
(3) Be able to medically treat patients presenting with AGA and/or when to refer them to the appropriate specialist for further workup
(4) Be able to determine if a patient presenting with AGA is a candidate for surgical hair restoration, taking into account his or her age, degree of hair loss, donor hair availability, potential for future hair loss and surgical expectations
(5) Have a working knowledge of the current techniques used in hair restoration sur gery (Follicular Unit Transplantation and Follicular Unit Extraction) and be able to offer education on these procedures to the patient
(6) Be familiar with the new advancements and current research being done in the field of hair restoration surgery
