Why AACS?

Membership in AACS is a must for any practitioner of cosmetic surgery. The AACS is the only medical organization that actively supports all disciplines and specialties of cosmetic surgery, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, otolaryngology and dermatology. The Academy exists because of and for its members, and AACS is pleased to provide services to enhance every aspect of a cosmetic surgeon’s practice. AACS represents its members in the American Medical Association House of Delegates and the AAAHC in government legislation. Who’s eligible?

AACS extends membership to physicians with training in a variety of disciplines and at different stages of their career as cosmetic surgeons. Each level of membership has different application requirements. You may also apply for AACS’ sub-specialty groups, the American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery (ASLSS) and the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ASHRS).
