Charged with implementing the vision and strategic plan developed by the AACS Board of Trustees, committee leaders are instrumental to the continuous evolution of the Academy. Members are encouraged to seek out leadership roles on the various committees and task forces.
2016 Annual Meeting Committee
Oversee, plan, and execute the educational components of the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Evaluates educational programs for continuing medical education credits, provides peer review per ACCME requirement, and drives educational content of meetings.
Executes the Fellowship Guidelines and Polices for Fellowship Programs.
Review and establish finance and budget parameters and guidelines; make recommendations for investment strategies.
Journal Task Force
Work on the status of the Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Ensure governing documents align with strategic imperatives and appropriate oversight mechanisms are established and enforced.
Marketing, Communications, Social Media, and Technology Committee
Provide policy and strategy recommendations pertaining to print and electronic communication.
Promote and enhance recruitment programs; evaluate applications for membership.
